Scotrail 90024 passes Acton Gate with the 5M16 Crewe to Bescot, after the 1M16 Inverness to London Euston sleeper was cancelled at Crewe, It is believed that there are some signalling problems.

EWS First Scotrail 90021 passes Bourne End near Kings Langley with the over 100minutes late 1M16 Inverness to London Euston overnight sleeper, many thanks to Dan for his information.

31st July 2009 --- FGW Green 57604 leads the 1A40 Penzance to London Paddington night sleeper at Exeter St Davids

The 1A40 22:00 Penzance to London Paddington overnight sleeper service, was hauled by no more than three locos last night, due to a TPWS fault on the one cab of 47828 and due to shortage of '57s'. 43042 and 43145 hauled the sleeper from Penzance to Plymouth, the powercars then went light engine to Laira, and 47828 took the train to Paddington, 47828 had a TPWS fault on its one cab. I photographed the train in London Paddington.

Hired in from Virgin due to poor FGW 57/6 reliability, is 57308 'Tin Tin' ironically Ex- 47846 Thor leading the early 1C99 London Paddington to Penzance beds. The train awaits departure from platform 3, Taunton at 02:21. Nice meeting Shrek.
